HotHive Textiles Shopping Update - 26 June 2009

Hello and welcome to the second edition of the HotHive Textiles shopping update newsletter. In this newsletter we will draw your attention to some of our favourite products that are new into our store this month and also share our book of the month with you.

We have been adding lots of new kits to our online shop in the last few weeks so we had a real job to pick just five to show you in the newsletter! Owl Pincushion Tapestry Kit
	By One Off Needlework £18.00 This owl is based on the barn owl who sits among the oak leaves on the magnificent painted ceiling at Parham House in West Sussex. He was a little fearsome so our owl has a slightly kinder expression. The kit contains all the materials you will need to complete the pincushion including a printed canvas, Appleton’s wools, needle, full colour chart, stitch diagrams and friendly instructions. HotHive Textiles book of the month � Mark Making by Tilleke Schwarz
	Mark Making By Tilleke Schwarz £19.99 This 72-page full-colour photo book presents a fantastic collection of the embroideries of Tilleke Schwarz. It was produced to mark a major exhibition of her work at the Knitting and Stitching Show in 2007. Our reviewer said of the book, “Her stitched commentary in her work on the world as she perceives it is very evident. For those new to her work it is an excellent catalogue of illustrations that allows detailed viewing of her observations and for those familiar with her work it is an excellent reference resource.” This book is on the reading list of many embroidery courses across the country and is a fantastic resource for anyone keen to get into the mind of an embroiderer and see the thought processes behind the fabulous work produced.
