21st Century Yarns are a small company specialising in unique hand-dyed yarns, threads, fabrics and designs, which are suitable for use in all creative textile art. Since being set up in the 1980s we have extended our exciting ranges of colourways and textures and produce imaginative packs for knitting, stitching and embellishing. We use top-quality yarns in natural, luxury fibres including silks, cottons and wools, which are available in some 100 variegated colourways. Our skeins and fabrics are dyed individually by Judith Gussin who also specialises in machine and textured embroidery based on ethnic textiles. Our exclusive hand-knitting designs have been created for us by Maggie Whiting and feature jackets, waistcoats and jumpers, many of which are in interesting patchwork designs, including our ever-popular clamshell patterns.
