Although appearing to be aimed at fashion designers, anyone who makes clothing, whether they design or use a commercial pattern, would find this book invaluable.
Over 500 clear line drawings show different elements for creating clothing from sleeves to hems, collars & cuffs to pockets & waistbands. Each section has a set of photographs illustrating usage.
There is an outline figure on the foldout flap with clear instructions how to make use of it by tracing any of the elements and mixing & matching them over the figure. There is also advice on colour and choosing the right fabrics. As a dress maker I have often looked for inspiration for customising or adding that special finishing touch to my clothes and I could certainly find it between the covers of this book. Priced at £14.99 it is value for money.
