Crochet Me is more than just a book of crochet patterns. It is like having your own crochet club on your bookshelf. The author, Kim Werker, hails from Canada and started the web site www.crochetme.com. The book has been inspired both by the success of the website and a new generation of crocheters who were looking for new designs to inspire them.
The book has eighteen designs ranging from dresses, to toys, to household items; in fact everything you would expect to see in a book such as this. However, the thing that makes it stand out from the rest is the profiles on each designer, which accompany their designs.
All the patterns come with detailed instructions and details of materials required. Some of the yarns used might not be available in this country but substitutions are given for the type of yarn used. At the back there is a very helpful glossary with pictures of all the crochet stitches used.
