For Alison Willoughby, the skirt is not just something to wear, but an art piece. This exciting new book takes the reader through the techniques she uses to make these 49 ½ skirts (49 plus one mini!) so that you too can create an individual look. Many of the techniques she uses are actually very simple, but used to great affect like attaching badges or running stitch.
The book begins with how to begin the skirt making process. From inspiration to what equipment you will need, it is clearly set out in order for you to follow each step. It then takes you through many of Alison’s designs, which give you lots of ideas of what is possible.
There is a pattern in the back of the book for you to take out and use, which shows the skirt pattern and any print ideas.
This book is so inspirational and the techniques used should not just be limited to skirts - they’d work just as well on other things! A must for all!
