Opportunity for artists to sell their work at craft and design show

Article Added: 09/04/2009 14:08:24
HotHive Textiles has just learnt of a great opportunity for artists and designers to sell their work at a fabulous craft and design show held at the Cross & Stable Community Centre in Milton Keynes. The event, Eye to Eye Collective, is taking place on Saturday 16 May as part of Arts Open Weekend.

The show will feature a mix of paintings, ceramics, prints, photography, textiles, jewellery and wood and the organisers, Feather Graphics, are appealing for artists working in any of these mediums to contact them if they wish to have a stand at the event.

Tables are available for £40 each and are approximately 6 foot by 4 foot. There is no access to wall space so exhibitors are asked to bring their own stands if they wish to display work in this way. Set up begins at 11am and doors open at 1pm, with the event finishing at 6pm. Exhibitors then have until 8pm to pack up their work. The event is being widely advertised by the organisers in the weeks before the event, so there will be an opportunity for new artists to be included in the publicity at that point.

There are now only a few tables left for the event, which will be given on a first-come-first served-basis, so we would urge interested artists to act quickly so as not to be disappointed. For more information or to book your place please contact Helen Casey-Green at helen@feathergraphics.co.uk.
