The Textile Directory's Spellbinding Textile's Competition - Win £1000 and get your work exhibited!

The Textile Directory's Spellbinding Textiles competition is open to anybody who has an interest in any area of textiles. So if your passion is for fashion, interiors, textile art and design or 3D work then this competition is for you. The theme of the competition is magic and entrants are invited to produce an item based on their interpretation of this theme.

The overall winner of the competition will win £1000 to spend on Pfaff products to suit your individual sewing needs. Whether you dream of a new sewing machine, overlocker or embroidery machine, why not enter our competition and you could win just that!

The best 30 pieces entered into the competition will also go on display at an exhibition in The Forge Mill Needle Museum, Redditch in February 2009, which gives you a fantastic opportunity to have your work exhibited - at no cost to you!

And, if there weren't already enough reasons to enter the competition, we will be featuring a gallery on the website of every entry we receive into the competition - so you are guaranteed to see your work on the site. Make sure you keep coming back to see the entries as they arrive.

How to enter

The closing date of the competition is 31 October 2008. Anybody wishing to submit a piece of work will need to send us 3-4 images of their final piece, plus a short artist's statement by this date. Their work must also be available for our exhibition if selected. It will be the artists' responsibility to ensure that their piece arrives at the exhibition venue.

We will also be holding a press day before the launch of the exhibition where the winning artist will carry out a short 15 minute presentation about their winning piece and how it was produced.
