Description:
At Salt we are celebrating 10 years of designing cutting edge bespoke textiles to enhance windows in commercial, retail and residential schemes both in the UK and worldwide.
Having been featured in a wide range of publications and periodicals and collected by the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Salt is known for its progressive approach to textile design and application, including innovative use of metals and glass. Awards include The Ergonom Dialogue Award, Millennium Product Award and the ICFF Editors Award for Textiles alongside nominations from Blueprint and Peugeot.
Due to an expanding overseas market an exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic weaver to reproduce unique designs in short runs on our modern Louet Megado Electronic Dobby Loom.
Salt’s customers are accustomed to the very best in design, quality and service and by joining the salt team you will not only work with interesting textiles and expand your knowledge but will be enthused by the challenges of working to satisfy these expectations in a small, multi-task, quality-driven, international design business.
Take a look at our website www.salt-uk.com to view our current top-of-the market product range.
The successful candidate will be a competent dobby weaver, preferably with sectional warping experience. You will also be self-motivated, have an eye for detail, able to work independently and, above all, committed to exceeding our customers’ high expectations
You may also be required to do a test warp, this will preferably be done outside of Salt. as our loom is required for production.
