I am a textile artist living and working in Brighton, East Sussex. For the past ten years I have written and taught various textile-based courses for Adult Education. Experimental Textiles is my passion, with working in three dimensions coming in a very close second. I lecture and deliver workshops nationally and exhibit where and when I can.
Since writing Hot Textiles and starting a new mail order company to supply the specialist products in the book, life has become very busy. When I am not making up ‘play packs’ for the business I am either taking photos to back up my work or working on samples which will hopefully lead to larger pieces when I can grab a moment.
My current work is based on scenes from the Downs interpreted into a range of 6ft columns constructed from Heavy Pelmet Vilene Plus and hand dyed silk hankies.
